Jobs Replies To Emails From A Gawker Blogger
I thought this made for an interesting read — especially because it show-cases just how biased and tunnel-visioned the Gawker bloggers are. I’m not a blind Apple fan, but Jobs’ point about how ‘belittling others motivations’ (paraphrased) is spot on.
Most of the noise doesn’t come from the users — who are probably thankful that pornography is limited to Safari (myself included) — but from the enraged technocrats who feel that they’re entitled to pornography applications on a device they choose to buy that never had them from the start. The distraction that is showcasing other photographers’ talent was, in a way, making up for a lack of my own drive to shoot. Ironically, that drive is back — except I’m now without a camera, having sold my gear to fund an upgrade that’s “in progress”. It’s a frustrating experience, but I’ve endeavoured to write down every idea I have, no matter how little or wishful.
So for now, just bear with me.
